DIWALI Celebrations in Room 20.
Today room 20 designed and colored Rangoli patterns on a white fabric. It was a challenging task for some of us because the painting required a lot of attention to detail and patience. We enjoyed coloring the patterns and are proud of what we achieved. The fabric will be used to convey messages from Hill Park students to the community wishing everyone Happy Diwali.
We also learnt that Rangoli designs are thought to bring good luck in Hindu culture. The designs reflect traditions, and practices that are unique to each area of India. It is traditionally done by women on special occasions. Rangoli designs can be simple geometric shapes, flower and petal shapes that are appropriate for the given celebrations. You can use colored sand, red brick powder and even flowers and petals.
Happy Diwali to all from room 20.

Today Room 20 dressed up in BLACK to support ALL BLACKS for the RWC 2015 Finals on Sunday.
We wish the ABs win the finals again and make New Zealand proud. We are proud to be a New Zealander and have such a strong team who never gives up.
We love their HAKA and they have great rugby skills. The ABs are our role models. We (Edward and Callum) want to grow up and play rugby like the ABs and be an ALL BLACK....
